“Travis does not shy away from hard work. In fact, he has consistently and faithfully served his church at weekly gatherings, sometimes multiple times in one day. I remember specific times in which Travis took initiative to address challenges and begin troubleshooting to resolve issues and keep our services running smoothly. This is just one example of how Travis stands out from his peers.”
- Charlie Rogers————-
"Being raised in an RUMC family has allowed me to see firsthand Christ's impact on everybody he touches, which has led me to seek him out personally, and events like AYL and opportunities like CRU groups have allowed me to do that. RUMC means a lot to me and has been a large part of my development as a person and in my journey with Christ. Additionally, the money going toward my college education would help me in my dream of spreading God's glory through creating products and tools to help improve the lives of those around me.”

”RUMC has been an enormous part of my life as a student and as a follower of Christ. Going into middle school, I really struggled with figuring out who I was and was hallenged to make new friends….I remember the first time that I went to Dod Cafe. I found a community of people that truly cared about me not just as a friend but as a part of their RUMC family. The people here have seen me at my best and worst; they have stuck with me through all of it. When I think about the fact that I am about to start this new, exciting chapter of my life, I cannot help but think that none of this would be possible without my family at RUMC.
Anytime I have fear and feelings of hopelessness, the members of RUMC, my mentors, have taught me to give my life to God not only in service but also to give God all of my worries, successes, and thoughts in general. The Holy Spirit has replaced my fear. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7). Because of Christ and his ministry, I am strong and full of love. Because of RUMC, I have been able to grow into the person I am today."

RHS Science————-
“When it comes to my faith journey and how I feel about Christianity, RUMC is at the heart of all of the connections and passion I feel about being a Methodist and a Christian. Since elementary school, I’ve acquired many close friends …RUMC is one of the most important pieces of not only my everyday life but my overall character. As I matured, I realized the pure love and joy that came with being a believer and how expressing and showing passion for Christ can help to show others the same introductory experience I felt as a young kid looking for some connections. To this day I attend youth group, church events, and trips at RUMC and the connections and friendships I have made there will last forever.”
