BROOKS MULLEN | 2026 Harry L. Hall Scholar
[BIO CONTINUED]
Leadership, Service & Faith
During this time, Brooks has also been deeply committed to RUMC. As an active member of RUMC Student Ministries, he has participated in Sunday Night Youth, Middle School Camp, and Wednesday Night Bible Study, and has served on the High School Ski Trips and the Colorado Mission Trip. He has also been involved in Altar Your Life and served as a Youth Intern for Dr. Ben Mayfield. Whether working behind the scenes to support the student program or stepping up as a vocal leader, Brooks consistently invests in others and draws them into community.
Brooks was selected for this scholarship because of his servant leadership, his academic excellence, and the way he actively builds faith community among his peers — modeling exactly what the Harry L. Hall Scholarship is meant to celebrate.
Brooks started his faith journey in 7th grade, at a time when few of his friends shared the same hunger for God's word. Over the years, his own faith has flourished, and he has grown to deeply value the community he has found at church. More than that, he has become someone who creates that community for others. He is reminded of the words of Sr. Pastor Tom Davis: "Faith is caught — not taught. And we catch it from those around us." That has been Brooks' experience at RUMC — a place of deep connection, growth, and purpose.
In Brooks' own words: "We will never fully understand Christ in our lives, so rather than understand I will say recognize. I now recognize Christ moving in so many ways…"
We trust that Brooks will continue to see Christ moving in his life.
The RUMC Foundation, Inc. recognizes Brooks' accomplishments and is proud to honor him as a 2026 Harry L. Hall Scholar.
