CHRISTIAN WALLACE | 2026 Harry L. Hall Scholar
[BIO CONTINUED]
He mentors peers and younger students as they work toward new skills in rock climbing, acting, and scouting. He has volunteered at Vacation Bible School, at Sparrowwood — the special needs division of Camp Glisson — and with Operation Christmas Child, Family Promise, and Must Ministries.
Christian was selected for this scholarship because he doesn't just participate in the world around him — he improves it. He founded CMhomecare, a lawn care company that employed both high school students and students with special needs. When Christian learned that teens with special needs are often paid less than their peers, he didn't simply feel troubled by it — he took action, establishing a standard of pay equity across his entire staff. For his Eagle Scout project, he designed a fire pit where scouts could gather in fellowship and included a collection box for the safe retirement of American flags. In its first year alone, over 100 flags were retired there.
Christ has been a steady and guiding presence throughout Christian's life. Through transitions and providential circumstances, Christian has witnessed God working quietly ahead of him — placing the right people in his path before he even knew how much he would need them. He met people at camp who would later ease his transition into new environments. Leaders recognized and welcomed him before he could feel disconnected or alone. Time and again, God prepared the way. These experiences have not only deepened Christian's faith — they have given him the unshakeable assurance that he is never walking alone.
We know that Christian will continue to be a beacon of his faith as he steps into this next chapter of his life.
The RUMC Foundation, Inc. recognizes Christian's accomplishments and is proud to honor him as a 2026 Harry L. Hall Scholar.
